Pisa & Florence

It's about midnight here and am just shutting it down. Went to Pisa and Florence and what sights. Sad to say it rained all day and we got hung up in Pise and missed nearly everything in Florence. (Oh well, another road trip.) We tried to hold up the tower, but so did everyone else there. So glad we were able to go there, just disappointed about Florence. Oh well Eddie, get a life.
Things are good here and as soon as I can get a good internet connection I'll send photos. I've plenty.
We board the ship tomorrow and will set sail the day after. I think on board there are good computer connections, so I'll up date when I can.
Be good, smile a lot, and thanks for following. (Wish you were here in person)

Venice

Venice, Italy,

Hello gang, Back in business. Arrived in Venice yesterday and caught up with Jim and Dee. Then things really got rolling. Had a couple of drinks and then met up with “New” friends in the bar.
Had a wonderful dinner with too many adult beverages. Got up this am and it was cold and raining and that nearly put a damper on the day. HOWEVER, after reconsidering, we got a bus and water taxi pass and forged ahead into downtown Venice. How neat did that turn out. We saw things that you can only see by water taxi as well as strolled the streets. Incredible sights, sounds, smells, and just overall wonderful sensations. Here are some photos that I hope you enjoy, and tomorrow night I will upgrade again, BECAUSE, we leave in the morning for a train ride leaving Venice @ 07:30 going to Pisa, then back to Florence for a few hours, then back to Venice @ around 10:00 to wrap the day. Should be awesome.
Thanks for riding with me. I do hope you are enjoying because I love having you with me.
CYA soon, and I will keep this up as long as you desire.
Eddiegomoore signing off.

PS - Having trouble downloading Photos, so forgive me if I can't get them done. (Hotel internet and all:).

Helping Haries

Wow, traveled half way around the world and still got to use some of my "Honey Kandu" handyman skills. Haries has an exibition tomorrow and had to get his art up, so guess who helped. Great day with him and needless to say, since it had to do with handyman "stuff", I LOVED IT". Long day, but it was worth it.

Plus, what you see in the movies about people going to the store and walking miles to get home with "ONE" bag of groceries, is true!!!!! Hope you enjoy..

Fun Stuff

Just for the fun of it!!!

Back in Riga

Long, wonderful day. Let's see what I can do before crashing. Washed clothes yesterday in a "small" washer w/ no dryer. Hence, no fabric softner. (This is gonna be fun). Went back to Riga today to catch a few more photos and watch Laila make a presentation to a marketing class. Photos from the palace, old Riga, New Riga, and just good stuff in general. Hope you enjoy and I'll try to get it right tomorrow night......

The big gothic building and the white brick building are left over from the Russian era. They were so incredibly against capitilasium that only Gov't buildings were impressive, all else was plain and nearly just alike.

No, that's not a red hat, that's her hair.

Enjoy.

Three days later

Happy Wed. everyone. Two days away from the Internet, and you just never know what will happen.

Tues, I spent the entire day in Riga just walking and taking photos. A beautiful city, especially in Old Riga. Lots of culture, beautiful architecture, and people everywhere. Very few children (until school let out), men sitting and catching up on life, and nearly every lady that walked by was wearing boots. Most of them in 3 to 6" heels. I just don't know how they do it.

Tues night we went to Bille and stayed in a Hostel "with sauna", and a fantastic breakfast. We woke to lots of fog, but went looking again. My host and hostess, Haries and Laila, are such wonderful folks.

We drove to Sigulda and saw a 13th century castle and a cave with a Luvlee romantic story. We visited with Lelde, Laila's sister, then it was off to see friends in Carnikava. ( I know you all know exactly where that is.) I developed a little back challenge, so we came home and I took today off.

Tomorrow it's back to Riga to listen to Laila lecture at University, then home and who knows.

Here are a few photos. Sure wish I know how to label each for your viewing enjoyment, but you'll have to have some one on one time with me to find out. (Hey, works for me)

Love to you all and I hope to see you after Thanksgiving...
