Yes, I've arrived in Winnipeg and it is cold, raining, and beautiful. On the way I went through fields of Canola, Sun Flowers, Esso stations, and stuff that I don't even want to know what. It was a long, long ride because there wasn't much more to see till I got here.
Just took a ride downtown before dark yesterday, then another ride around town and visited a place called "The Fork".. Seems that Winnipeg sits on a fork of two rivers and have dedicated a small section on the rivers to just having fun, food, and socializing.
There is a beautiful train station as well as other beautiful archetecture (?) in the city. I didn't get as many pic's as I wanted, but as I stated earlier, "it's raining and cold".
I'll probably head toward Thunder Bay tomorrow in hopes of outruning or being outrun by the rain. If it does happen, there will be more pics to share. (Wait till I get home. I will be able to bore you to tears with all the pics I have. Don't you just love digital!!!)
Side note: Trudi had back surgery today and is recovering tonight in BRGH in Baton Rouge. She is hurting, but the Dr. says the surgery went well and she should be able to get over the pain that she's endured for 25 years. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
The invitation is still open for whomever wants to actually/physically ride with me if pictures aren't enough. Lemme know.
Till next time, this is eddiegomoore going for a shower, adult beverage, and some mindless tv till morn.
Love to you every one....
ESSO!! Don't you love it? And that market....yikes! Surely you had something really good to eat?? Winnipeg today, Thunder Bay tomorrow, keep it up. Thanks again for posting pics. RM
